The women wing of the Samajwadi Party has decided to spread its wings outside Uttar Pradesh as its national working committee declared in-charge of neighbouring states during its meeting here on Sunday.
National president of Samajwadi Mahila Sabha Ranjana Bajpai said that party’s popularity was on the rise following good work done by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. “This is the right time women wing of the party should have its unit in neighbouring states and process in this regard has begun,” she said while addressing the meeting.
She also said that women should go out and meet people to propagate the good work being done by the Samajwadi Party. “It is the only party which is working for the welfare of women. Chief Minister has launched many women centric programmes but the problem is people do not know about them,” Bajpai said.
Party’s general secretary Arvind Singh Gope said that women will have to play a crucial role in the forthcoming assembly election. “Women holds sway in family. In many places they are the decision makers and help their skill to educate people about Samajwadi Party Government’s pro-people policies,” Gope said.
