Bajpai alleges Khan has Yadav's support

Demanding immediate sacking of state parliamentary affair minister Mohammad Azam Khan for his attack on the governor, State BJP president laxmikant Bajpai has alleged that the silent mode of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav shows that the minister’s statement to hit the highest Constitutional body of the state has his support.

Defending the Raj Bhawan for not approving the Bill which gives power to the state government to sack an elected Mayor,  Bajpai in a statement here on Saturday said that the failures of Azam  Khan in controlling his department was the outcome of such Bill. “ CM should not wait further and sack the minister as no action will prove that the government was protecting a person who was attacking the Constitutional body and trying to propagate corruption,” he said. “Khan has a habit of charging everyone of being corrupt and even the elected representatives are not spared which shows his derailed mental status, “ the BJP leader said. Bajpai said that it is not for the first time the SP government has attacked the governor but such act of the ministers and the party leaders show that the CM was protecting them merely for vested political interest. The spat between Raj Bhawan and the minister has escalated after Khan attacked governor Ram Naik in the assembly on March 8 last with even terming him as a BJP agent  and protecting the corrupt Mayors.
