Tearing of Samajwadi Posters by some miscreants during recent visit of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to Badaun proved costly for the local district police chief Dalbeer Singh Yadav.
Taking serious cognizance of the matter, state government on Monday shunted out Dalbeer Singh Yadav and attached him with the director general of police office. Atul Saksena, who was recently promoted to IPS cadre and was posted as Commandant of PAC in Mirjapur on last Saturday has been now asked to take charge as SSP Badaun cancelling his earlier transfer order.
Sources said that just before arrival of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to one of the venue in Badaun on last Friday, some miscreants raising slogan against the government torn his and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav’s posters which reportedly irked the senior officers as well as the state government. They held SSP Badaun,
Dalbeer Singh Yadav responsible for it and removed him. Meanwhile district police chief of Pratapgarh, lR Kumar, was also removed for failing to check law and order problem in the district which also led to sensational killing of president of Junior Bar Association of Pratapgarh on last Saturday. The lawyers were already demanding removal of Kumar for last few days. State government posted SP (Police Training School) Surendra Kumar Verma as new SP of Pratapgarh while Kumar was also attached with the DGP office.
Interestingly Kumar was posted in wake of law and order problem following killing of local Deputy SP, Zia-ul-Haque and two others. Then minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka Raja Bhaiya was also named in the FIR though his name was later cleared during probe by central bureau of investigation (CBI).
