Azam Khan lashes out at PM

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that Muslims were being victimised in the country and he should be ready for the consequences if the community approached the United Nations Organization (UNO).

“Muslims were being harassed in India. If the community approached the UNO and narrated their ordeal, then Modi will not be able to show his face anywhere. Stop it or be ready to face the consequences,” Khan said.

“Muslims follow the holy Quran and will continue to obey it till their last breath. The PM is neither aware of Islam nor Hinduism,” Khan said.

Hitting out at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said that there were differences in his statements and actions.

Khan said that the CM talks about acting against illegal land grabbers and setting up task force against land mafia and encroachments, but he has not acted against a minister in his government who carried out ‘unauthorised construction’ worth crores at his bungalow in Rampur.

The former UP minister said that he would blow Maulana Jauhar University with dynamite if an attempt was made by the state government to take control of the institution. He claimed that he has done nothing wrong in taking possession of the public and Waqf land for the university.

“I have done nothing against the law. The government had formulated a policy under which Waqf land could be allotted for setting up hospital and educational institutions. If the lease of the land was allotted to Jauhar university then the government will have to scrutinise all such lease and cancel them,’’ said Khan. “The Yogi government has unleashed few ministers and leaders  to harass me and target the Jauhar university. But I will not allow them to occupy Waqf land in Rampur and other places in UP. let the Yogi government irst get the huge bungalow worth Rs 25 crore in Rampur vacated which is under illegal occupation of a Union minister,’’ claimed Khan.
