UP Minority Affairs minister Azam Khan on Wednedsay, condemned the BJP for dubbing cinestar Shahrukh Khan as ‘anti- national and a Pakistani agent’. He said that the BJP has not only insulted the star but also hurt his wife and children.
Khan also targeted the BJP for condemning scientists and intellectuals who have returned their awards to protest growing intolerance in the country. He said, “The BJP leaders by their intemperate statements are not only hurting the people’s sentiments but are also damaging the nation’s foundation.’’
“Those targeting the scientists and intellectuals are insulting the nation as those returning the awards are globally renowned. The act of denigrating intellectuals by Sangh paruivar and Shiv Sena is a crime against the nation,’’ said Khanon Wednesday.
