The sulking urban development minister Md Azam Khan met Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday when both held a long meeting that lasted for over an hour.

A senior official told The Pioneer that meeting took place at 5, Kalidas Marg- the official residence of Chief Minister. Officially it is not knows as what transpired between the two but it is believed that Azam Khan must have lodged a strong complaint over Government decision to postpone Shia Waqf Board elections. Sources say Azam Khan is also angry over the Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav’s move to re-induct Amar Singh in the party. His anger was palpable because he did not attend the function held at state capital to inaugurate Janeshwar Mishra Park.

Khan has also skipped the Urdu Academy function on Monday in which he was the chief guest. “Khan had come to meet CM following Akhilesh’s request. Another minister Rajendra Chaudhry joined the two for few minutes but he left quickly,” the source said. Source say that Khan did not attend the office though he took part in cabinet meeting on Tuesday for few minutes.
