Deploring the comments of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, the oldest litigant of the vexed Babri Masjid demolition case, Hashim Ansari said that no one can build a Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya till the matter was resolved.
“How can one comment on the construction of Ram temple when the matter is pending in the Supreme Court. Such comments are meant to divide society,” Ansari said in Ayodhya on Thursday.
In a recent statement, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had said that the Ram temple will be built during his lifetime. He was quoted as saying: …'May be, we will see it with our own eyes. None can say when and how the temple will be constructed, but we need to be prepared and ready'.
Ansari accused Bhagwat of doing politics on the issue and said that RSS leaders have developed a habit of giving such remarks. “No comment should be made on the issue which is sub-judice. And when it is the issue of Ram Temple, then the leaders should be extra cautious,” he said.
Ansari said that India is a democratic country. Politics should not be done on the subject of religion but the BJP leaders have been issuing unnecessary statements from the time to time.
“I have full faith on the judiciary. I will continue my fight for the construction of Babri mosque at the disputed site. No one can forcibly take an inch of land for the construction of temple at RJB complex,” said Ansari.
