Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel said that Ayodhya, which represents India's glorious spiritual and cultural tradition, has been famous all over the world as a holy city of religion and culture since ancient times.

"The temple associated with the glory and importance of Lord Shri Ram is actually a 'Rashtra Mandir', which will continue to inspire and guide humanity for ages," she said.

Anandiben Patel was speaking after President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the Ramayana Conclave and several tourism development projects at Ramkatha Park on Sunday.

The Governor said that the step taken by the UP government to develop Ayodhya Dham from the point of view of tourism was commendable.

"When Ayodhya Dham will develop from the point of view of tourism, a large number of domestic and foreign tourists will come here, which will also increase the revenue. The attraction of tourism increases only with good services. Tourism thrives only where there is a culture of hospitality, which is mainly for the tourists and infused with friendly tradition. It is present in our culture as 'Atithi Devo Bhava' and is also being used in our tourism campaigns," she said.

She said that Ayodhya Dham could be established as a major attraction centre not only for people of Indian origin but also for foreigners. She said for this purpose, a vision plan had been prepared for the integrated development of Ayodhya Dham and it was the dream project of the prime minister. “Just as Kashi Dham has been given its grand form, in the same way, Ayodhya Dham should also be developed,” she added.
