With the arrest of two contract killers, the Special Task Force (STF) claimed to have averted murder of an advocate on Tuesday. Those arrested were identified as Anoop Tiwari and Parikshit Singh aka Bunty, both of Sultanpur. The sleuths recovered a revolver, a country made pistol of 315 bore, 4 live cartridges each of .32 bore, 2 live cartridges each of 315 bore, two motorcycles, an Aadhaar Card, a voter identity card and 2 mobile phones from the miscreants.

The arrest of the shooters came after the sleuths were tipped off about the murder plan of an advocate in Sultanpur. The contract for the murder was given by a jailed mafia Ashutosh Mishra aka Toshu who anted to eliminate his rival advocate Prashant.

The police informer tipped the shooter planning in the nick of time and a team of STF laid a trap near the Karodiya culvert in Sultanpur. When the miscreants reached the place they were nabbed by the team.

The miscreants owned up their crime. They disclosed that they were given the contract by Toshu who is presently in district jail in Sultanpur. It surfaced that Prashant had a seven bigha land in Karodiya and Toshu wanted to grab the land in view of its market price. It also surfaced that a constable Ajay, who also wanted to grab the above said, had killed Toshu’s brother Ashu a few months back and was in jail. Toshu exerted pressure on Prashant to give him possession on the on contract but Prashant refused the offer. Failed in his bid to coerce the advocate, Toshu then planned to kill Prashant.
