Autopsy report out for NRI family murder case

Published on:

Autopsy of the wife of a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and her three daughters, whose bodies were recovered from their home at Morawa (Unnao)on Wednesday, revealed that the police had tried to save their skin by dismissing the matter as that of `suicide’.

The report confirmed that all four had ante mortem injury marks on their heads and other parts indicating that they were pummelled with blunt objects till they died.

Police sources confirmed that besides robbing valuables and cash from the house, the miscreants were also engaged in sexual assault. Surprisingly, all these facts become evident during the preliminary examination of inquest which is usually carried out by the police soon after a crime. Ironically, not onlt local police but even senior officers who vistse dthe crime scene claimed that the victims seems to have ended their lives by consuming poison.

The sources claimed that the `suicide theory' was floated by the local police which was gobbled up by the senior officers without cross checking the tell tale evidence.

Even SP of Unnao, Neha Pandey had said on Wednesday that the incident in which Sarita (40) and her three daughters aged between 8 to 21 years were found dead, seemed to be a case of suicide. No suicide note was however recovered.

After the autopsy report, the case has been altered to one of murder and sexual assault by the police and investigations are on.
