Bahujan Samaj Party criticised delay in the arrest of self- styled Godman Asaram Bapu and claimed that the right place for such people is jail particularly when they happened to be role model in the public.
"Asaram should be immediately arrested for sexually assaulting a minor girl but delay made by the police in Rajasthan raised suspicion that the administration was trying to shield the self proclaimed Godman", alleged leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Swami Prasad Maurya. He was talking to the media persons in Fatehpur on Saturday afternoon. The law of the land is supreme and. everyone irrespective of the clout or position enjoyed by him should abide by the law", said senior BSP leader adding that Asaram Bapu is no exception that some Parties were opposing action on him.

It was not just law and order but Akhilesh Yadav had failed on all fronts and he seems to be weakest chief minister of the State", alleged Swami Prasad Maurya, adding that even Akhilesh failed to control his legislators who were found involved in unlawful activities at short intervals.
