Exhorting party workers to work diligently, BJP president JP Nadda said it is the only party in India where an ordinary worker could become the president of the outfit and an RSS pracharak could become the prime minister of the country. On Tuesday, the BJP president will inaugurate the BJP office in Kanpur and attend a booth chiefs’ convention.
“I can claim that the booth workers sitting here can become the state presidents tomorrow. We believe in democracy, but the opposition parties believe only in the family, not in a democracy. Only in the BJP, can an ordinary worker run the party. Nationalism is paramount for us but for opposition parties, nothing comes before the dynasty. That is why elections are around, the BJP remembers Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel while opposition parties start remembering Pakistan and Jinnah," Nadda said while addressing booth level chiefs in Lucknow on Monday.
The BJP president further said that when Modi was saying that everyone should get the vaccine, some people were saying that this was Modi's and BJP's vaccine. "Now they should answer on whose vaccine they are roaming around. After a few days, the red cap is also going to become saffron. Many people become farmer leaders, but if anyone has done anything for the farmers, it is only Modi ji. Before 2014, the agriculture budget was Rs 20,000 crore, but today under Modiji, the budget of agriculture is Rs 1. 23 lakh crores,” he said.
Referring to the state, Nadda said, “Uttar Pradesh has now changed fully during the Yogi Adityanath regime. Earlier women were not safe in the state but now they can roam around freely.”
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the regional booth convention and said that during India’s freedom movement in 1857, Shaheed Bandhu Singh had made the supreme sacrifice on this land and many revolutionaries from time to time carried forward this campaign. "This is the land where Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil had given up his life for the independence of India," he said.
Yogi further said that all the problems being faced by the common man were being resolved one by one. “This is the same region where mafia and criminals used to dominate but today the goons have forgotten hooliganism and the mafia has left the state,” he said.
The chief minister said that on one hand there is Prime Minister Modi to protect the pride and glory of India and to establish India as a capable and powerful nation in the world, while on the other, there are people thinking of Jinnah and snatching the rights of the people.
