A few hours to go before ASI starts a treasure hunt in dilapidated fort in Unnao the sadhu who saw in his dream about this treasure predicted another treasure trove in Fatehpur and asked ASI to start hunting for it.
Swami Shobhan Sarkar has predicted 1,000 tonnes of gold in Unnao, but now he has also predicted 2,500 tonnes of gold at the Fort in Adampur area in Fatehpur.
Swami Omji, disciple of swami Shobhan Sarkar, met Fatehpur District Magistrate Abhay Prasad and demanded ASI excavation like Unnao.
In a letter sent to the DM, copies of which were sent to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister, P Chidambaram, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, Swami Omji claimed that they have specific information of 2,500 tonne of gold near Shiv Chabutra inside the Fort of Rewa Naresh on the bank of River Ganga in Adampur village. It also claimed that a GSI could vindicate their predictions.
"The Ashram is ready to submit a security deposit of Rs 10 lakh to the government for the treasure. If our prediction goes wrong, then the government has full right to seize our security but if they get the treasure then, they should return it and invest 20 per cent of the gold amount for the development of the area," the letter said.
It also said the treasure (gold) should be used under Indian Treasure Trove Act.
Shobhan Ashram claimed Rewa Naresh Raghuraj Singh gave this 2,500 tonne of gold to his guru. Now the Fort is in ruin and several efforts were made by the Britishers to excavate the gold but they failed to trace it.
Earlier, Swami Shobhan Sarkar had predicted that erstwhile ruler of Unnao had buried 1,000 tonnes of gold in the remains of the fort.
Unnao District Magistrate Vijay Karan Anand said teams of GSI and ASI have already surveyed the area and they would start excavation work to find the treasure from Friday.
The saint follower, climed that Raja Rao Ram Bux Singh, who was martyred in 1857 battle, came in the dream of Sarkar and told him to take care of the gold buried in the remains of his fort.
The saint had convinced Agriculture and Food Processing
Minister Charandas Mahant of his dream, following which a team of ASI and Geological Survey of India (GSI) officials surveyed the area.
The minister had visited Sarkar's ashram here on September 22 and October 7 and assured him of needful action.
A team of experts visited the area in Unnao on October 13 and drilled two holes at a point shown by Swami Shobhan Sarkar. "There is something about 20 meters under the soil.
We can establish it's the treasure only after we dig that deep. Several teams of experts have visited the place and given positive signals," a senior ASI official said.
