In a chilling reminder of Nirbhaya rape case in New Delhi or say more brutal than it, an unidentified 25-year-old woman was found murdered after a brutal sexual assault, probably by a group of men while lying in naked state in a primary school premises in Mohanlalganj on Thursday morning.
The incident curdled the blood of the villagers as well as the police officers who visited the crime scene. The incident put the city police in a bad light on crime against women front. The incident rocked the state capital.
According to reports, some villagers spotted a blood stained body of an unidentified woman lying near a hand pump inside the school courtyard in Balsignh Kheda on Mohanlalganj-Junabganj road. They informed the village gram Pradhan and subsequently the police was informed.
A visit of the crime scene instilled sense of horror among the villagers and the police officers. The circumstantial evidences and the description crime scene was pointing out the brutality that the victim faced at the hands of her tormentor(s). Her slippers were lying abandoned at different places outside the boundary of the school. A distance further her stole and kurta was lying strewn while her inner garments were lying in thickets and were torn. The probing team recovered an earring supposed to be of the victim who seemed to come of middle class. The cops also recovered a pack of bidi from near the broken boundary wall of the school.
Inside the school premises, the cement seats built for the school children to serve them Mid Day Meal were stained with blood. About a half space of the vermadah seemed to have been smeared with blood. It seemed that the victim struggled hard to free herself or would be trying to save herself from her tormentor(s). The cemented base surrounding the hand pump had blood split all around. The handle bar of the hand pump had also blood stains. In between the veramdah and the hand pump the victim was lying with her face down and naked.
The police said the victim had deep cut wounds at her private parts and she died probably due to excessive bleeding. “Her face had turned blue and it seemed that she was either punched at her face several times or her faced was banged against some hard object or surface,” the cops said. The police did not rule out the possibility of sexual assault on the victim.
After the information, the police team led by inspector Mohanlalganj reached the place and sealed the body to sent it for post-mortem. Due to visit of former US president Bill Clinton in Mohanlalganj, the official tried to hush up the case as they feared it will show the lucknow police in bad light.
But later when photograph of blood stained victim went viral on social media, the senior police officials including IG, DIG and SSP lucknow reached the place for supervising the investigation. Soon the primary school building and the Balsingh Kheda village swarmed with heavy presence of police from various police stations of the state capital.
The official spokesman of SSP, lucknow informed that three teams led by SP Crime, incharge of surveillance cell and under training IPS officer Sushil Chandra had been formed to crack the case. He said a panel of doctors will conduct the autopsy of the body of the victim. “The doctors had been asked to examine sexual assault and kind of injuries that the victim suffered in the attack,’ he said.
Sources privy to investigation disclosed that a look of the crime scene hinted that the miscreant (s) executed the crime inside the school premises. “The school in located in a deserted place and hardly any one visit the school after the sunset. The kind of attack the victim suffered indicates that the miscreant(s) would have killed her out of revenge or due to some deep rooted hatred against her,’ they said.
In support of their claim, they said the victim would have fought hard by her tormentor(s) when she was being attacked or being tortured to death by sadist miscreant (s).
