Amit Shah talks about lawlessness of state

BJP national president Amit Shah said that the Mathura episode has given a bad name to UP and a state where such incidents take place, cannot march on the path of development.

“How can one forget the incidents of Mathura and Kairana IJ These speak volumes about the present lawlessness in the state,” Shah said while addressing booth-level workers in Meerut on Thursday.

Hitting out at the Akhilesh Yadav government, Shah said that the law and order situation in UP has forced people to leave Kairana while criminals ran a parallel government at Jawahar Bagh in Mathura.

"Will Barak Obama come to UP to control crimes. It is the responsibility of the state government to bring crime under control. But the SP government has totally failed in improving law and order,” he said.

Shah repeatedly alleged that UP has three and a half Chief Ministers. "Common people of state are deprived of benefits of Central government. The SP’s merger with QED run by don Mukhtar Ansari was only a drama to present the CM having a clean image.

“The SP is full of criminals. If its tries to expel criminals, it will be left with no worker,” he said and added that the Akhilesh government claims to be the well-wisher of farmers, but is not giving Rs. 5000 crore of dues to cane farmers.

Shah said that the main aim of the BJP is to take UP to the path of progress. “UP has given maximum number of MPs which helped the BJP to form a government at the Centre. It is now the responsibility of the BJP to make UP, the number one state,” he said.

In the next two days, Shah will be holding booth -level conferences at Basti and Jaunpur. He will also attend a  ' Janadhikar rally' organised by Apna Dal MP  from Mirzapur, Anupriya Patel in  Varanasi on July 2.

Shah is also slated to address a rally of Bharat Samaj Party in Mau on July 9.

Earlier, Shah had attended booth-level meeting of BJP workers at Kanpur for Bundelkhand region on June 4, at Kasganj for Agra region on June 7 and in Barabanki on June 27.
