Calling the feud in the first family of Uttar Pradesh as a bigger fight than `Mahabharata’ BJP national president Amit Shah said that the reason behind the fight within the family was to take control of ill-gotten money and now `Narad’ (Amar Singh) has entered the drama while there is no one to listen to the woes of the people.
"Corruption has worn out the steel frame of administration like termite. BSP looted the state exchequer and now the Samajwadi Party leaders are fighting to get their pound of flesh acquired through illegal mining. In this melee there is no one who can listen to the problems of the people,” Shah said while addressing Parivartan rally in Ramabai maidan hereon Wednesday.
Shah made a surprise entry on the rally ground as he had earlier dropped the idea to attend the rally organised by Swamy Prasad Maurya. Since it was Swamy Prasad Maurya's maiden after he joined BJP UP’s party in-charge Om Mathur specifically went to Delhi to convince Shah to address this meet.
Party leaders said Shah was scheduled to go to Patna by a regular flight from Delhi. However, the BJP leaders hired a chartered plane and brought national president to address this rally. In his over half an hour speech Shah spoke about corruption in SP and BSP Government and how Akhilesh Yadav Government has splurged over 1 lakh Crore central assistance given to UP.
"Chacha and Bhatija have become rich while the people of the state are still poor. Similarly Mayawati’s bungalow has became bigger and bigger and she used pubic money in buildings memorials, he said adding: “If the money earned by Gyatri Prajapati through illegal mining was deposited in the state exchequer, every household would have a colour TV by now and the money used for construction of bungalows of Mayawati could have provided AC to every dalit house in the state.”
He said now SP Government has decided to reinstate the corrupt minister that proves Chief Minister is supporting corruption and is minting money.
Commenting on the fight within the Samajwadi party family he said the ' mahabharat ' of the ruling party in UP has hit the development work. law and order is already bad. There is 161 per cent increase in crime. SP goons are grabbing land across the state. The state has been pushed back because of mis-rule of SP and BSP, he said.
BJP president also attacked Congress vice- president Rahul Gandhi's Kisan yatra saying that Congress had ignored farmers during their 65 years rule and now it is shedding crocodile tears. Congress is the only party of the country who is responsible for the plight of the farmers, he said and added: "Congress is just helping the SP and BSP by holding such yatras.”
Talking about the efforts made by the Narendra Modi government to help UP he said over Rs one lakh crore has been given to the state for all round development "It is unfortunate that even after sending such big amount, UP is lagging behind while other BJP ruled states are progressing,” he said.
Earlier, BJP president welcomed Swami Prasad Maurya saying that he had joined the BJP at the right time. BJP vice- president and in-charge of UP Om Mathur and UP BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present in the rally.
Swami Prasad Maurya while welcoming the guests criticised BSP president Mayawati and narrated in detail how she used to collect money through candidates and other sources.
