Issuing a strict warning Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan has asked officials to improve delivery system so that benefits of the government schemes could reach the poor and needy across the state.
Addressing divisional commissioners and district magistrates through video conferencing here on Monday he said that officials should improve their delivery system and implement the government schemes in a targeted manner, failing which action would be taken against them, he said. “Government is serious in implementing irs schemes in letter and spirit. Budgetary allocations have been made.
It is up to officials to ensure that benefits of these schemes reach the targeted people. If the officials fail to improve system strict action would be taken
against them,” ranjan said. He also set a deadline for clearing applications received in Tehsil diwas. The officers have been asked to file all applications online and clear them within a month’s time. DM were asked to identify officers who do not clear the files in time, he said.
“The government has made it sure to provide good health care facilities to the poor. In villages free medical camps for women should be set up where doctors would give free medicines. In different state run hospitals 105 ultra sound machines would be made available. Process is under way to appoint doctors and para-medics,” he said.
He also directed officials to protect poor from cold. Rs 16.35 crore has been allocated for each tehsil to purchase blankets and Rs 3.27 crore for bonfire. “Officials should ensure no one should die of cold,” he said.
