To give 'identity' to the offices of Public Works Department (PWD) and make them look different from other government premises, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday issued directive paint all offices of PWD in one colour.
"All the official premises of PWD should be painted in a particular colour to give an identical look," Maurya directed, saying that the move would help people in identifying the PWD office even from a long distance with the help of its identical colour.
Maurya, while issuing this direction here on Wednesday evening, also asked officials to give 'utility certificates' to all projects at the earliest for which the entire budget had been sanctioned.
He said the entire sanctioned budget should be exhausted to ensure timely completion of projects. He warned of stern action against those officials who failed to meet the completion time of the projects even when the entire money for the purpose had been cleared by the government.
