Akhilesh Yadav transferred Principal Secretary Industries

In a surprise move Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav transferred Principal Secretary Industries Sanjiv Saran who had inked MoUs with delegation of Netherland and Malaysia and considered to be the brain behind CM’s recent foreign visits.

Saran is among four IAS officers including Principal Secretary Housing Sadakant who were shifted on Thursday. Saran was Principal Secretary Infrastructure and IDC and is now posted as Divisional Commissioner of Devipatan replacing R P Arora, who has been put on waiting.

Sources said that Chief Minister was not happy over delay in setting up of Dutch desk in Udyog Bandhu.  “CM wants result. He had returned from a fruitful visit of Netherlands and wants that talks should translate into action,” a senior official told The Pioneer here on Thursday.Interestingly, Sajveev Saran has accompanied Chief Minister to Netherlands. 

It is considered to be a punishment posting for Saran as he has been sent to Devipatan as Commissioner, where no IAS wants to go.In other transfers Principal Secretary Housing Sadakant was transferred and sent to Basti as Divisional Commissioner in place of  Sudhir Kumar, who has been put on waiting.Meanwhile, UP government also shifted 25 senior officers of the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) in the state.
