Akhilesh Yadav has ordered opening of such centres in all the district headquarters

Buoyed at the success of the women power line 1090 at the state capital, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has ordered opening of such centres in all the district headquarters of the state with immediate effect. “The 1090 has helped protecting women in the state capital. It has given new confidence among the girls and the same centre would be replicated in other district headquarters,” Yadav said in a statement issued here on Thursday.

He said this facility will also be helpful for all the women across the state.  The 1090 service was initiated in November 2012 in lucknow.“If need be the Uttar Pradesh Government will seeks funds from the centre to strengthen this project across the state,” Chief Minister said.
