The Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had suspended the executive engineer of Agra division of Rural Engineering Service Maheshwar Singh. According to an official spokesman, complaints were constantly coming about the corruption of Maheshwar Singh and he was reprimanded to amend his ways. As he failed to act as per expectations, the Chief Minister ordered his suspension and asked principal secretary RES Ashok Kumar to conduct the inquiry.
