His fiery speech at Samwajadi Party's mega rally at Bareilly, Mulayam Singh Yadav was visibly pained by the absence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at the major party function on Wednesday. The CM had also skipped the first mega rally at Ghazipur on November 23.
Incidentally, Gayatri Prasad Prajapati was the lone cabinet minister present in the rally. The SP chief also praised the performance of younger brother Shivpal Yadav as PWD minister.
The SP chief said, ``Kya Shivpal ne kisi se kam kaam kiyaa hai (has shivpal worked less than any one). Imprint of Shivpal's hard work can be seen across the state as every village is now connected with all weather roads.’’

"All the ministers are present on the dais, including those who were dismissed from the cabinet. I will not speak much on why they were dismissed from the cabinet. If I go into details of that episode, then my speech would turn serious’’, said Mulayam.
"Only one minister Gayatri Prajapati is present here. You should ask the CM as to why the unemployed youth have not been given jobs even as 5 lakh posts are lying vacant in different government departments,’’ said the SP chief.
Gesticulating to Gayatri Prajapati, Mulayam Singh said, "Go and tell your Chief Minister that the youth need jobs and so many posts are yet to be filled by the state government.’’
Though the SP patriarch expressed his displeasure over the CM's absence, he praised the state government for fulfilling all promises made in the SP's election manifesto of 2012 Assembly polls.
Yadav said, "Though medical treatment is free in the state, I want to assure you that the state government would bear all expenses even if a patient is to be sent abroad for treatment and none will die for want of medical treatment.’’
