Urging Election Commission to take note of the statement of BJP leader Uma Bharati threatening to pull down Samajwadi Party Government Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said EC should send her a notice and ban her from holding public rallies any more.
“Uma Bharati is spreading canard by claiming that 50 MlAs are in touch with her and Samajwadi Party government would fall if BJP comes to power at centre. The EC should take note of such statements as it was an effort to threaten the state government and a violation of the model code of conduct,” Yadav said while addressing reporters here on Friday.
He said if a BJP leader can claim that 50 MlAs are in touch with her then he can also assure her that several BJP leaders were continuously meeting him. “Several BJP leaders are in touch with me or Netaji( Mulayam Singh Yadav and are pleading before use to prevent Narendra Modi from becoming the Prime Minister,” he said.
“A legislator who never cared to attend state assembly session is now try to confuse people,” Yadav said without naming Uma Bharati who had attended Vidhan sabha for just one day in last two years.Taking a jibe at BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi, who was in Etawah on Friday, said that the Gujarat Chief Minister should have gone to see the lion sent by them to Etawah.  Modiji always say that Gujarat has sent lions to UP. Was not his duty to see the lions whether they are healthy or not during his visit to EtawahIJ,” he asked.
The CM claimed that the so called wave of the BJP has vanished and now the BJP leaders themselves are making statements against the PM candidate by saying him as ‘event manager’. He also criticised the BJP as well as Modi for copying the statements SP leaders and even the manifesto of the SP.Meanwhile, the CM today flagged off four lED mounted vehicles from the state party office which will  go to the rural areas to campaign for the party. These vehicles would show all the advertisements, songs and the achievements of the government during their campaign for which the party has already sought prior EC permission.
