Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav asked party cadres to set their eyes on the 2019 lok Sabha elections and asked them to beware of the BJP as the latter were master in spreading misinformation and creating impression about its achievements. He was addressing newly-elected representatives of the party at the recent Urban local Bodies poll at the party office on Saturday.

likening the BJP with garbage, Akhilesh said, “They carry the broom, even as this party is full of filth and garbage. Their ideology is full of garbage. The problem is not the broom but the garbage. The BJP has failed to deliver hence the Samajwadi Party will have to pick up the gauntlet and clear the filth.‘’

Questioning the credibility of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) Akhilesh said, “The success rate of SP candidates was far higher where election was held through ballot papers rather than the EVM.’’

Accusing the BJP of spreading misinformation over victory of its candidates in UlB poll, the SP chief said, “The victory of BJP candidates in Mayoral elections was projected by the media as if the polls were held only for nagar nigams. Samajwadi Party candidate won from  Ramjnma Bhoomi ward in Ayodhya –Faizabad nagar nigam.’’

``The BJP had been chest thumping about Smart City project for the last four years. Even after so many years we have no idea as to what this scheme is all about. This is BJP’s style of functioning as they spread only misinformation and canards,’’ said Akhilesh.

Targeting the Yogi Adityanath government, the SP chief said that during the last nine months, the BJP government has nothing to showcase as its achievement.

“There is no let up in crime in the state. All sections of the society particularly women and traders are at the receiving end of criminals and anti social element,’’ charged Akhilesh.
