The assurance came from both sides. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav assured all help to the striking employees while in turn the leaders assured Chief Minister that their cadre and family members will support Samajwadi party in the next election “if their demands are met”. This quid pro quo situation was witnessed in 5, Kalidas Marg – the official residence of Chief Minister where two delegations of striking employees went to meet Akhilesh Yadav to apprise him of their demands.

Delegations of Uttar Pradesh social Audit Mahasangh and TET Utteerna Sangharsh Morcha called on Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Both the organisations are on war path for last couple of days and are staging dharna at different places in city. A state government spokesman said that the Chief Minister patiently heard out both the delegations and assured of their solution. He also said that the his government was not only working for all-round development of the state but also to provide relief to the needy and justice to the marginalised.

During the conversation Harendra Yadav, president of Social Audit Mahasangh said that if Government solve their problem the members will support Samajwadi party. Akhilesh Yadav on his part said that his government was committed to welfare of employees. “we can do better if given another chance,” he said and added that their (employees) problems would be solved soon. “If our problems are solved we should all vote for Samajwadi Party. We have three point demand which includes traveling allowance when we go for auditing. I can assure over 7 lakh votes if our demands are fulfilled,” an office bearer of the mahasangh. President of TET Utteerna Sangharsh Morcha Ram Kumar Patel and other office bearers too promised full support to SP. “We too have given this assurance to Chief Minister. It is up to CM sahib now whether he wants our support or not,” Patel said.
