Akhilesh asks party cadres to brace up for 2019 polls

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav exhorted his party cadres to start preparing for the next lok Sabha elections due in 2019.  He said that the next Parliament poll was not far away and the workers should close their ranks right from today itself.

After returning from a vacation in london, the former Chief said on Thursday that the BJP  had failed to fulfill aspirations of the people and the people would no longer be misled by false promises of the party in future elections.

Talking to his cadres at the state office in lucknow, Akhilesh flayed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for failing to deliver on all fronts in the last 100 days in office.

“The BJP stands exposed as there is nothing in the Budget presented by the state government on July 11. The BJP has trapped the people in the maze of demonetization and Goods and Service Tax. The new indirect tax regime projected as the biggest ever economic reform after independence will benefit only big business houses and ruin small traders, businessman and farmers,’’ opined the SP chief.

Targeting CM Yogi Adityanath on farmloan waiver, Akhilesh said, “It’s an exercise of deception to cheat farmers and small and marginal farmers would get no benefit from the waiver.’’  He said tha the BJP government has scrapped all welfare schemes started by the previous SP government and it seemed that the BJP regime would solve problems of the people by chanting of `mantras’.

Accusing the BJP of spreading hatred for its narrow political ends, the SP chief said, “We have to fight the campaign of falsehood by the BJP. We have to fight a long and sustained struggle against BJP’s misinformation campaign.”

Alleging that the BJP government was  working  with vendetta against the Opposition, Yadav said, “The BJP misled the people by raising issues of crematorium and graveyard . The present  government was working against the interests of the poor and people should not expect anything good for them from this government.’’

Akhilesh claimed that there had been a meteoric rise in crime ever since the BJP came to power. ``Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should tell the people as to how many hardened criminals, corrupt people and land mafia were arrested, how many were sent to jail and the number of criminals who fled the state after the BJP came to power.’’
