“Police has details of the incident including recording of the meeting in which inflammatory speech was given. Action would be taken against the guilty. No one would be spared,” Yadav told reporters in Ballia on Wednesday.

In a condolence meeting held early this week in Agra to condole killing of Arun Mahaur, a VHP functionary. In that meeting Union Minister Ram Shankar  Katheria and BJP MP Babu lal were claimed to have delivered inflammatory speech.

Katheria, who is Minister of State for HRD, had denied giving any hate speech. He claims that he had not spoken about any community or caste but had told audience that police was threatening them with lathis and they have `dandas’ to counter them.

UP Police had lodged named FIR but has spared Katheria and Babu lal.

Chief Minister said that police has lodged a case and investigation is on. Directives have been given to take action against all found guilty in delivering hate speech, he said.

Uttar Pradesh Government has already paid a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family members of Arun Mahur. He was stabbed to death in broad day light by a member of minority community. The alleged killer has been arrested.

“There is an attempt to vitiate communal peace of the state by pitting one community against another. This is being done to gain political mileage in Vidhan Sabha elections slated for 2017,” Yadav said adding BJP has failed to deliver at the national level so it is using religion to divert people’s attention from its failure.

When asked about JNU row he said Nationalism does not mean saying Bharat Mata ki jai. It cannot be defined in a word. Nationalism is taking whole society together under Indian Tricolour, he said.

“I am hopeful of Samajwadi Party returning to power in 2017. People have seen our work. We have fulfilled all our promises and have taken the state to the path ot development and progress,” he said.
