Keeping his vow to provide quality education to the youth of the state and make them employable, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Abhyudaya Yojana on Monday and interacted with the candidates selected under the scheme.
The chief minister, at the launch, emphasised that the scheme would add to the holistic development of youth by providing them coaching facilities similar to that of Kota and Prayagraj.  Coaching to interested youth in other deprived parts of the state who are unable to avail the services will also boost the spirit of self-reliance, he added.
"The Abhyudaya scheme is a 'path pradarshak' (guiding light) for holistic development. When about 30,000 youth preparing for competitive exams were stranded in Kota and Prayagraj due to the coronavirus pandemic, we decided to have similar coaching facilities in the state," Yogi Adityanath said.
Abhyudaya coaching centres set up under the direct supervision of the chief minister at the divisional level in the first phase and at the district level in the second phase will benefit the aspirants preparing for NEET, JEE (Mains and Advanced), CDS, NDA, UPSC and other competitive exams.
Free guidance and teaching by senior IAS, IPS and PCS officers will also be provided to the aspirants through these institutes. There will also be a provision for every kind of facility, from virtual doubt clarifying sessions, preparation for interview calls, career counselling to subject matter expertise.
"The coaching will start with full swing from tomorrow (Tuesday). I want to assure everyone that these classes will help the candidate to achieve their goals. In 2020, the scheme was not only appreciated but a special package was also announced in the Union Budget," Yogi Adityanath said at the inauguration via video conference.
'Abhyudaya' has emerged as a golden initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as it has received an overwhelming response from more than 50 lakh youth in less than a week, showing their trust in the government. The classes will begin on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami on Tuesday in all the 18 divisions of the state in the initial phase.
The chief minister, while interacting with the 50,192 selected candidates, assured these bright youth of the state that the government would continue to give wings to their aspirations and that this scheme also aimed at ensuring quality exam preparation to all talented and hard working aspirants coming from diverse backgrounds like rural areas, families of poor income class and marginalised section, who could not afford to avail of the coaching services in private sector.
The chief minister, while presenting 'Abhyudaya' to give right direction to the talented youth of the state, also interacted with the aspirants and advised them to prepare for the exams with hard work and dedication without any fear of failure.
"Keep making dedicated efforts toward achieving your dream and never rely on luck. Only when you show absolute commitment without any expectation, you will achieve the desired results," he said.
Yogi Adityanath encouraged the students to completely believe in their actions and also to always approach every situation with utmost optimism.
Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who was present at the Abhyudaya Townhall during the inauguration of the scheme, lauded the platform as an "impeccable" and "extremely innovative" effort toward empowering the youth.
Social Welfare Minister Ramapathi Shastri acknowledged the government's vision through this scheme of providing quality education to uplift the deprived sections and called it the medium of 'Antyodaya'.
Padma Shri Prof HC Verma described Abhyudaya Yojana as purely inventive, unique and exemplary. He said it was a measure to boost self-reliance among the youth in the state.
