At the culmination of grueling seven phase polling the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that people of Uttar Pradesh have voted for change and have reposed faith on BJP because they want development.
“Ab ki baar BJP sarkar,” said BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya. “There is clear indication that people have voted for BJP. The onus will be now on us to give a clean and effective government,” he told reporters here on Wednesday.
He said that people are fed up with lawlessness and lack of development. “What can you speak of a government where girls are reluctant to go to school because they are harassed by some road side romeos and police remain mute spectator. The industrialists have left their hearth in western Uttar Pradesh because of machination by a section of criminals who enjoy political patronage,” Maurya said.
Hitting out at Akhilesh Yadav Government he said that Chief Minister had told people time and again that his government has delivered but has failed to give specifics. The Samajwadi Party government constructed an expressway between Agra and lucknow which is now the costliest road in India. CM lied about power scenario in UP and he got Bhole Baba’s curse in Varanasi, he said.
“Samajwadi Party promoted `Yadavisation’ – from thana to Tehsil this government only posted Yadavs. In police recruitment this government gave appointment to youths from only four districts. Why this bias towards caste and regionIJ People are fed up with this mis-rule and have written this government’s report card. This result will be out on March 11,” BJP state president said.
