AAP to strengthen base in state soon: Singh

Aam Aadmi Party’s national spokesperson and Uttar Pradesh in charge Sanjay Singh said his party will strengthen base in the state in next three months in the view of change in people’s mindset from casteism politics to development politics.

While speaking to the reporters after a two-day review-cum-state executive meeting here on Monday Singh said they have divided the state into five zones namely Bundelkhand, Ruhelkhand, Awadh, Eastern and Western regions to strengthen the party’s base from booth to zonal levels.

He said that it is the time to make people aware about the crime, caste-based politics, and educational loot persisting in Uttar Pradesh.

Singh said that in the first leg of their campaign the party has fixed the target to make committees at Vidhan Sabha-level till September 15, committees on block level till October 16 and booth cum sector level committees till November 30.

Singh also accused the Samajwadi Party government for indulging in caste-based politics and said though Mulayam Singh Yadav boasts about him being socialist but when it comes to the recruitment people of a particular caste and region are given preference.

“The Union Government and Uttar Pradesh governments are anti-people and anti-farmer as both were biased on the issue of distributing compensation to farmers who lost crop in rains in the month of March and April,” he said.

When asked about his intention to contest forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections Singh said the party has not taken any decision in this regard so far.
