National Spokesperson and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Sanjay Singh announced that party will contest lok Sabha elections in 20 states on more 350 seats.
"In the recent meeting of Parliamentary Action Committee (PAC) screening of some candidates has been done. The first list would be released in the first week of February and second list in mid of February," Sanjay Singh told the pressmen here on Monday. He said there were some 73 MPs against whom serious criminal cases were pending. The same condition is in state assemblies too. In UP, if the MlAs with criminal cases would constitute a party then they would form government with full majority. "AAP’s candidate will be fielded against corrupt and criminal candidates of other political parties," he added.
Singh said in the PAC meeting, it was also decided that there would be no alliance with any political party and non-political organisation in the lok Sabha Elections. Attacking Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi, he said a couple pf years back Rahul Gandhi made promises to provide residence to a dalit woman Sunita Kori in Amethi but he never fulfilled it. In these years after he was not able to fulfill a promise in his constituency then how come he could resolve the issues prevalent across the country.
AAP leader Kumar Vishwas had been surrounded by the controversy after a clip in which he made insulting remark on Muslim religious figure. He had been facing protests since he arrived. "Kumar had already apoliogised for the remarks he made in past. Now the issue had been resolved," said Singh. Praising AAP led Delhi government; he said the government had been running successfully in comparison to governments of other states. Even the government had started implementing 18 promises made before elections.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh made announcements about the committees formed in the state to strengthen party in lok Sabha Elections. A five member coordination committee for the state had been constituted which has five zonal conveners and one other member including Vivek Yadav, Sanjeev Singh, Vishal Sharma, Mehek Singh Tarar, Murari lal Jain and Aruna Singh.
All the five Zonal Committees of the party had been asked to carry out screening of people filing applications for contesting lok Sabha elections on party’s ticket. To monitor the screening process, a six member election screening committee had also been formed.
