Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party government for the death of 25-year-old youth Krishna Yadav in police custody in Jaunpur.
He demanded action against the SP, SHO and other cops in the Jaunpur and registration of a case of murder against the errant cops
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Singh said law and order had deteriorated in the BJP rule. Sharing the details of his talks with the family of deceased Krishna, Singh, the AAP leader said they were demanding justice to Krishna but the police were more concerned about registering cases against innocents in Uttar Pradesh.
He said in UP, one could face a jail term for speaking for the victims or for farmers.
Singh also flayed the government for not increasing the state advisory price (SAP) for sugarcane even by a rupee in four years.
Elaborating the woes of the farmers, Singh said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal would hold a Kisan Mahapanchayat on February 28.
