A murder accused was sprayed with bullets in a sensational broad daylight shoot-out inside court compound in Bulundshahr on Wednesday. One of the under-trial was also seriously injured in the firing.
He was shifted to District Hospital. A case in this regard has been registered and local police which launched a massive hunt for the killers claimed rivalry behind the incident.
Reports said that a listed criminal Jagat, who was lodged in District Jail at Bulundhshahr was brought to District Court in connection with trial on Wednesday afternoon. When the cops were going to produce him, two youths riding on a motorcycle entered and suddenly opened indiscriminate fire targeting Jagat. The killers remained at the spot to ensure that Jagat should not survive.
Surprisingly, the police team accompanying the criminals left them and took shelter to save their lives. later when the killers who were reportedly chased by some lawyers jumped through the boundary wall and escaped, only then the police party came out and shifted both the injured where Jagat was pronounced dead upon arrival. Further investigations are on in this regard.
