In fresh cases of attack on members of fairer sex, a 8-year-old girl was raped and brutally hacked to death in Ghaziabad, an unidentified woman’s half-naked body was found in a sugarcane field at Rampur Kheri village at Shamli district. local police at Shamli suspected that the woman, appearing to be in her late 20s, was raped before being strangled to death and the body was dumped to conceal the crime.
In Ghaziabad, 8-year-old daughter of a labourer, hailing from Bihar and presently staying at Bombay Colony in Nandgram area of Sihanigate at Ghaziabad, disappeared under mysterious circumstances on Friday evening. When the family members launched a search, they learnt that another labourer hailing from Bihar, identified as Subodh Paswan had taken the victim to his room, situated the same locality. Subsequently, the local police which was informed of the incident conducted a raid in the wee hours of Saturday and shocked to recovered the body of the victim lying in pool of blood from Subodh’s rented room.
local police after investigation claimed that the circumstantial evidences suggested that the victim was raped and later in fear of being identified, the accused slit her neck and escaped. A case has been registered in this regard and all out attempts has been made to nab the accused.
In Shamli, the body of an unknown woman, which was found in the field on Friday evening by a farmer, has been sent for postmortem. “The autopsy report is awaited to ascertain the exact cause of death but it appears that the woman was first raped and then strangled,” local police disclosed to the media. A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered against unidentified persons they added. Efforts were made to maintain identity of the victim and subsequently to lay a trap on the accused.
Meanwhile, in another case, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Shamli’s Ghari Doletpur village. ccording to the complaint lodged by the minor’s father, the accused, Tasuwer (22), forcibly took the girl to his house and raped her there on Friday evening. A case has been registered against Tasuwer under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), SHO Pankaj Verma said. Efforts were made to arrest him.
