The UP government effected another round of major reshuffle in administrative late on Friday night and transferred eight IAS officers, including Districts Magistrates of Prayagraj, Bahraich and Kaushambi. Apart from DMs, new Chief Development Officers (CDOs) were posted in two districts. A day before, on Thursday night, 18 IAS officers were transferred.
According to the transfer list issued by the state government in Lucknow on Saturday, DM Prayagraj Bhanu Chandra was made the Chief Executive Officer of Uttar Pradesh Rural Road Development Agency (UPRRDA) and Sanjay Kumar Khatri, who was Joint Managing Director of Jal Nigam was made the new DM of Prayagraj.
UPRRDA CEO Sujit Kumar was posted as DM Kaushambi replacing Amit Kumar Singh, who was posted as Joint Managing Director of UP Jal Nigam while Special Secretary, Urban Development. Special Secretary Culture Dinesh Chandra was posted as DM Bahraich replacing Shambhu Kumar, who will now be Special Secretary, Secondary Education.
Lucknow CDO Prabhas Kumar was posted to Pratapgarh on this post while Pratapgarh CDO Ashwini Kumar Pandey will now handle this responsibility in Lucknow. Earlier on Thursday night, 18 IAS officers including commissioner and DM of six districts and 2 divisions were transferred.
