“Uttar Pradesh epitomises an exceptional blend of growth with cultural heritage, unity with diversity, and tradition with progress and this year’s Independence Day celebrations will represent that amalgamation,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Friday.

In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, the Yogi government has prepared an action plan to make this occasion much grander. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state capital will host a special programme and invite 75 groups from different sections of the society. Each group will consist of 75 members who will perform at the event in their traditional attire.

“Moreover, 75  labourers, 75 farmers, and 75 factory workers will also be present at the event,” a government spokesman said.

“One of the highlights of the event is that 75 people from each section belonging to different cultures and regions will be invited. They will include folk artistes, tribal groups and various communities that will display the diverse culture of Uttar Pradesh in their traditional attire. In total, 75 people from 75 different groups will depict the richness of the state,” he added.

“In addition, people representing 16 trades, including BC Sakhis, factory workers, farmers and Anganwadi workers among others, will also be a part of this event,” he added.

The theme of this event will be based on ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ under which the rich culture, heritage, tradition, and customs of Uttar Pradesh will be showcased in front of the general public.

Along with the history and tourist attractions of Uttar Pradesh, a glimpse of the action plan for the ‘New Uttar Pradesh of New India’ will also be presented. About 76,000 SHGs have been tasked with making the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a success.
