Three criminals were killed in an encounter with the police at Sikri village in Dado police station area of Aligarh late on Friday night.Two police men were also injured in the firing.
Among the slain criminals, two criminals carried rewards of Rs 25,000 each on their heads and were reportedly involved in the murder of four people during a dacoity in Sahawar area of Kasganj recently.
As per reports, the police was tipped off about the presence of the criminals after whicvh a police team surrpunded them near Sikri jungles late Friday night. As the police asked them to surrender, the criminals reportedly opened fire which was met with retaliation.
In the gunfire, the police managed to eliminate three miscreants while their aides managed to escape. The slain criminals were identified as Aditya, Ehsan and Waseem.
Ehas and Waseem were wanted by the police in several cases and carried cash reward of Rs 25,000 each for their arrest. Constables Vinod and Manoj were injured in the firing.
