In a bizarre case, a 27-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by three persons in a moving car and the accused later also threw acid on her in Peeli Chowki area on Bijnore on Monday night. The victim, who somehow saved her from clutches of the accused, rushed to a near-by locality and alerted the villagers after which she was taken to hospital and the police was informed of the incident.
According to report lodged in this connection, one Gudiya (name changed), was returning to her parents house in Mangolpura locality of Kotwali police station in Bijnore from her in-laws house in Khatauli at Muzaffarnagar, on Mondaynight. At Bijnore bus station, three youths residing in her native village stopped their car in front of him and offered her a lift to home.
Gudiya, revealed before the cops that as they were her neighbours so she not sensed any foulplay and took the lift. However, they suddenly changes the route and forcibly took her to a secluded place where she was gang raped by the three. later the accused also tried to burn her alive and threw acid over her body. She claimed to received some burn injuries but in order to save her life, she somehow pushed the accused and rushed to a nearby village and raised the alarm. She claimed that as some villagers responded to her SOS so the accused absconded from the spot.
A case has been registered in this regard by the local police and the victim was also medically examined to confirm of rape charges. Three separate teams were also formed to lay a trap on the accused who were reportedly absconding from their home. Meanwhile sources also said that the incident occurred just to avenge six-months old case in which brother of the girl had reportedly raped the sister of one of the above accused. Further investigations are on in this regard.
Meanwhile in Bareilly, a minor girl was sprayed with bullets under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday afternoon. Reports said that 16-year-old Seema, a resident of Bisaratganj in Bareilly was going to meet someone on Tuesdayafternoon, when some unknown miscreants struck terror by opening indiscriminate fire over the victim and gunning her down. Her father Bhure reported the matter to the local police. A case has been registered and the body was sent for post-mortem examination. Further investigations are on to confirm the motive behind the killing so that the cops could close down on the criminals involved in the sensational killing.
