A 19-year-old girl was alleged to be sexually assaulted and later brutally killed in Sultanpur district. She was missing since Sunday evening and was found murdered on Monday morning after which the local police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
Reports said that 19-year-old Sunita Singh (name changed), a resident of Pure Chetal Pathak Ka Purwa under Kudebhar police station, had went to her neighbor Anoop Yadav’s residence on Sunday evening. However, when she not returned home, her family members launched a hunt for her and had also enquired about her whereabouts from Anoop Yadav. Failing to get any lead from Yadav, Sunita’s father reported the matter to the local police. The cops registered a case as that of missing and asked the family members to continue the hunt.
Reports further said that the matter took an ugly turn on Monday morning when the family members learnt that body of Sunita was lying in Yadav’s house. They rushed to enquire the truth and were shocked to find the body lying in pool of blood. She had injury marks of sharp edged weapons on her neck and chest. The circumstantial suggested that she was sexually assaulted after strong protest. The cops suspected that the accused were known to the victim hence after sexual assault, they killed her in fear of their identity being disclosed by the victim. The cops also suspected the role of the neighbor in the killing and were grilling some suspects to close down on the accused.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man was also killed by his paramour and her son with the help of a police constable in Hapur. Reports said that one Raj Singh, a native of Harsh Vihar Colony under Hapur Kotwali, was alleged to be having an affair with Somwati (name changed), residing in the same locality. According to neighbor’s, Somwati’s son was having objection to his mother’s relation. Besides, one Shadev, a police constable posted in the Kotwali Hapur, who was reportedly also close to Somwati, also wanted to get rid of Raj Singh.
Reports said that as per plan, Shadev helped Somwati and her son to eliminate Raj Singh. As per plan, Somwati called Raj Singh on Sunday evening and later the three, strangled him to death and threw his body in a secluded place to conceal the crime. On Monday morning, when Raj Singh’s family saw the body, they informed the police after which a case has been registered against Somwati, her son along with the police constable. Efforts were now on to arrest the accused who all absconded soon after learning that they were named in the murder. The body of the victim was also sent for autopsy test.
