In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl died of excessive bleeding during gang-rape by three persons.
The incident took place in Gaur police station area of Basti district and the local police nabbed one of the accused and launched a hunt to arrest the remaining two accused after registering a case against them.
Reports said that the victim had gone out to buy vegetables on Monday evening. When the girl did not return home till late evening, her family members and relatives started looking for her. When the family members were searching for the girl, one Monu Sahni, the prime accused in the case who was later arrested, called Sudhir, a resident of the same area, and informed him that the girl was lying behind a house in his village. Sudhir immediately alerted the girl’s family members who rushed to the spot and were shocked to find the victim lying in a pool of blood. They immediately shifted her to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead.
The family members claimed that they also saw blood stains on the doors and windows of the nearby house where they found the body of the victim. Apart from this, traces of blood were also found on the way to Suresh Maurya’s school, after which the family filed a complaint against Monu Sahni, Rajan Nishad and Kundan Singh, accusing the three of raping and killing the girl.
According to information received here, the phones of the three accused were switched off after the incident. After the gang-rape, the three accused escaped from the village.
Superintendent of Police Gopal Chowdhary said that one of the accused, Monu Sahni, had been arrested.
Monu Sahni revealed during interrogation that he knew the girl for the last eight months and took her to the spot. Later he and two of his friends raped the girl but she started bleeding and turned unconscious so they left her and escaped.

Meanwhile, a youth killed a girl and later ended his life after failing to get married to her.
The sensational incident took place in the Bilaspur area of Rampur district. According to reports, Rajveer of Bilaspur was having an affair with a local girl and wanted to marry her. The family members of the girl were against the marriage as Rajveer was an electrician and they were trying to fix her marriage with someone else to get rid of Rajveer.
On Monday evening, Rajveer called the girl and forced her to marry him. He had brought vermilion with him for the purpose.
The local residents claimed that it appeared that when the girl refused to marry against her parent’s wishes, Rajveer got agitated and strangled her to death. Later he also hanged himself from a nearby tree and committed suicide. While the girl’s body was found lying in a field, Rajveer's body was found hanging at some distance in Manihar Kheda village.
Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Shukla also reached the spot. The cops sent the bodies for post-mortem and were making further investigations.
