With 118 new novel coronavirus positive cases being reported in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave out instructions to strengthen medical facilities across the state and asked district magistrates and chief medical officers to physically verify the facilities available in every hospital.

“Isolation beds, ICU beds, PICUs needed for children, paediatric specialists and ventilators should be checked. If there is any deficiency, then arrangements should be made to rectify it immediately,” Yogi said.

At a high-level Team-9 meeting in Lucknow on Wednesday, the chief minister said that the state-wide night curfew should be strictly enforced to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infection and police patrolling should be intensified and people should be asked to follow the Covid protocol.
