100 day report card was an act of `political deceit and betrayal':SP

The Samajwadi party charged that the 100 day report card presented by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was an act of `political deceit and betrayal’ with the people and ‘an attempt to mislead the masses’.

Terming the Yogi government as `inefficient and directionless’. the SP said that it would be imprudent to expect  people-oriented programmes from the BJP as they came to power by spreading falsehood and misinformation.

“None had asked the BJP government to present a report card. The government is yet to take one step forward as Yogi Adityanath is yet to present the budget for the 2017-18 fiscal. So, how can he produce a report card,’’ asked Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra  Chaudhary.

The spokesman said that the common man was frustrated with the BJP government’s inefficiency and it’s the first instance of its kind that any government has become so unpopular in a short span of three months.

“The Chief Minister should have shown  the moral courage to admit that all works and achievements listed by him in the report card were either initiated or completed during the previous Samajwadi Party regime led by Akhilesh Yadav,’’ said Chaudhary.

“There have been 200 hundred per cent increase in crime in the last three months. The morale of criminals is high while the police force is living in a state of fear. There is no let up in heinous crimes against women and youths protesting peacefully were being arrested and jailed,’’ said the SP spokesman.

Chaudhary alleged that the BJP had made tall promises to farmers during the elections but nothing has translated on the ground.

``little or no purchase of potato was made by government agencies nor wheat was procured under Minimum Support Price scheme,” charged the SP leader.

Chaudhary said that power distribution has also deteriorated in the state in the last three months as the previous Akhilesh Yadav government had ensured 18 hours supply to rural areas which has now come down to eight hours.
