Reacting to Priyanka Vadra’s appointment as AICC general secretary Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that induction is nothing new but an extension of Pariwarvad ‘ in the grand old party of India. The BJP also claimed that this appointment was indication that Rahul Gandhi has failed to deliver.
UP BJP in-charge for Lok Sabha and union health minister J.P.Nadda, said in a statement here on Wednesday that Priyanka Gandhi officially became General Secretary of Congress, but everyone knows how this household company works. It is also first official declaration from Congress that Rahul ji has failed, he should tell what is his view of Parivarwadi soch?”
“What is new in this announcement? It is an extension of family influence from Rae Bareli to eastern UP. In other words it is just an extension of parivarvaad.” He said.
UP BJP president Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey told reporters here that be it Rahul or Priyanka the congress has already been wiped out from UP. Even the alliance (SP- BSP) is not taking them seriously. “People too will not take Priyanka seriously,” he said.
Another senior BJP leader and Minister in Yogi Cabinet Sidharth Nath Singh said that rise of Priyanka in party shows fall of Rahul. “The announcement of appointment Priyanka as general secretary and in-charge of eastern UP shows that Congress believes that it cannot depend on Rahul anymore,” he said.
“It is wrongly perceived that Priyanka will now be active in politics. The fact she was active in politics for last many years as she was in-charge of her mother’s constituency of Rae Bareli. What she did there for everyone to see,” Singh, who is also the UP government spokesperson, said.
