Hitting out at the opposition parties, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that they would not be allowed to do politics over dead bodies as some leaders were out to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of the state for political gains.
“Such faces are being exposed and the government will identify each one of them and deal with them with a heavy hand as per the law of the land,” the chief minister said while addressing a virtual meeting of the office-bearers of booth, division and sector level party organisation of Bangarmau (Unnao) Assembly constituency where bypolls will be held on November 3.
Yogi said for some political parties, the poor were just a vote bank and poverty alleviation was another rhetorical political slogan with no heart for their uplift.
He reiterated the ideology of his government which rests on progress, security and good governance with full transparency and without any discrimination.
The chief minister said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh had done some unprecedented developments in the field of infrastructure facilities, health, education, connectivity and investment.
“This is why the perception about Uttar Pradesh has gone through a sea change,” he said.
Asserting that for the BJP, the nation was of paramount importance and politics was just a source of public service, Yogi said that for the opposition, politics was just a business and they could go to any extent to gain political mileage.
“The opposition perceives everything from the view of caste, religion and regionalism,” he said.
“These disruptive elements may resort to any misdeed and disintegrate the social structure in order to keep their vote bank intact,” Yogi said and added, “We should ensure that these evil designs do not succeed.”
Recalling the contribution of freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad and litterateur Suryakant Tripathi ‘Nirala’, Yogi said that the land of Unnao had a great historical and mythological importance, more so because this region was situated along the banks of the Ganga, which in itself was a matter of pride.
He exhorted the party workers to involve themselves in mass contact programme while following all the Covid protection protocols.
BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh, who also addressed the partymen, asked them to expose the forces which were creating hurdles in the path of development.
“The moral power and sense of unity of the BJP family is potent enough to register record victory in the bypolls,” he said.
