This refers to the article, “Deep-rooted animus for Sardar” (November 4) by Anirban Ganguly. We can, however, appreciate the communists’ dilemma, as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s papers reveal their role, which is not very favourable. It also explains the background of the continuing Naxalite trouble in Andhra Pradesh.
Most of the comrades are the products of a university (Jawaharlal Nehru University), which is appropriately named after another comrade, who caused enormous damage to the country by his policies. Perhaps we should close the university and save some money.
