Sir — VIP culture in our country has reached an alarming position. It is a bane for our country. The lifting of ban on Shiv Sena MP, Ravindra Gaikwad, will set a wrong precedent. Already, we have lost faith in our laws as they bend heavily on the rich and become more strict for the poor and the marginalised. The lifting of flight ban in Gaikwad is a clear expression of the VIP arrogance at its peak. At the very least, the Supreme Court should have taken cognizance of the incident where Gaikwad turned violent on an Air India staff.
