Yakub Menon’s mercy petition should have been accepted as, according to him, he chose to surrender and cooperate with the authorities. Commuting his death penality to life sentence would have been in the interest of justice. He might have been a part of the conspiracy but his death sentence alone cannot serve justice. The main culprits are still out at large.
