Much of the State's economy is controlled by the minorities. Many leaders of the minority groups are rich businessmen. Most of their stakes are in real estate. They have been the worst sufferers of a poorly performing economy for the last several years under the UPA regime. Since there is going to be a stable Government now, they hope that their businesses will pick up.
The other important reason for the change in attitude is that many criminal cases against some Islamists had been suppressed by the UPA regime at the Centre. As the incoming Government will be a nationalist one, these elements fear the worst.
