When the truth is told, Congress is rattled

Published on:

This refers to the editorial, “Congress over-reaction” (February 11). Prime Minister Narendra Modi first said that in his 35-year, career former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh didn't have any taint on him. He then gave the example of wearing a raincoat and coming out dry from the bathroom. There was nothing in it for Congress leaders to overreact in the manner they did. While terming the demonetisation decision of the Government as “organised loot and legalised plunder”, how could Singh forget the biggest loot of national resources in his regimeIJ

The Congress's accusation that Modi had lowered the dignity of the post of Prime Minister, is amusing. Rahul Gandhi called Modi adalal of soldiers’ blood; lalu Prasad had called Modi Brahmpishach; Arvind Kejriwal called him a psychopath; Digvijaya Singh equated him with Ravan; and Congress leader Pramod Tewari put him in the category of Mussolini and Hitler. Nothing is forgotten.
