Sir — This refers to the editorial, “More Ministers needed” (September 5). The Cabinet reshuffle undertaken by the Modi Government has appointed some well-qualified professionals from top positions in the Government. The aim, however, is the 2019 lok Sabha election.
The election of Nirmala Sitharaman as the Minister of Defence is the most promising and is welcome. It is hoped that Sitharaman will effectively handle the problems faced by the country with regards to neigbouring nations viz Pakistan and China.
Meanwhile, few bureaucrats are now in-charge of some important Ministries. It is hoped that they too would take the right decisions that is in the interest of the nation. let us hope that this reshuffle will prove good for the Modi Government as well as for the aam aadmi.
